Philanthropy

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been Phi Mu’s national philanthropic partner since 1986. “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” The first line of Phi Mu’s Creed has been a call to serve others since it was written more than 100 years ago. From our earliest days of supporting a health mobile that delivered health care to women and children in rural areas to supporting toy carts for children in hospitals to our current partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu has long been committed to lending a helping hand to those in need.

We are proud to be the only sorority to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum. We were also the first sorority to establish a National Philanthropy Day more than 20 years ago. Lending a helping hand is at the heart of who we are as Phi Mus.

Theta Zeta's Philanthropy

At Phi Mu, our philanthropy is at the heart of who we are. As the Theta Zeta chapter at Georgia Tech, we are passionate about supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH), Phi Mu’s national philanthropy. Every dollar we raise directly supports Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), helping to provide life-saving care, advanced medical equipment, and comfort to children and families right here in our community.Throughout the year, we host a variety of events and initiatives to raise money and awareness for this cause. Some of our favorite events include our annual dance marathon, casino night, and other fun campus-wide fundraisers. These events not only allow us to give back but also bring together the Georgia Tech community to support something bigger than ourselves. Our philanthropy means so much to us because we see the impact it has firsthand. Whether it’s touring CHOA, meeting patients and families, or celebrating milestones with the hospital staff, we are constantly reminded of why we do what we do. Giving back through CMNH has strengthened our sisterhood and taught us the importance of service, compassion, and leadership. We are incredibly proud of the work we do and the difference we’re making for children and families in Atlanta. Supporting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta isn’t just a tradition for us—it’s a mission we live out every day as Phi Mu women.
