Letter From Recruitment Chair

Dear Potential New Members,

On behalf of Phi Mu at Georgia Tech, I am thrilled to welcome you to Georgia Tech and our Panhellenic community! In college you will learn to step out of your comfort zone and find your true self. Choosing to join a sorority is a novelty that can be just as intimidating as it is exciting. I can assure you that comfort grows with time, and the memories you have ahead of you will be some you cherish for a lifetime. Since the Fall of 2018 when I decided to join Phi Mu, I have grown in ways that I could not have imagined prior to college. Coming from a small town to Atlanta was quite the adjustment, but Phi Mu made this campus and city feel like home. The women I’m surrounded with here are inspiring, driven, and everything I aspire to be; I would not be who I am today without my sisters. At Phi Mu, we celebrate diversity and embrace one another's individualism, which allows every one of us to grow both inwardly and outwardly through our experience. On campus, Phi Mu sisters are involved in various organizations including SGA, FASET, Georgia Tech Ambassadors, Tour Guides, Reck Club, Wreck Camp, For The Kids at Georgia Tech, Freshman Leadership Organizations, and so many more. We support our national philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network, through Dance Marathon, our annual Tea Party fundraiser, and hospital parties. Our social calendar includes events such as Semi Formal, Formal, Senior Party, Crush Party, date nights, and mixers. While we may not have been able to enjoy these events with our sisters in the past year, we have still found ways to grow closer together and make the most of our college experience. But Phi Mu isn’t just something we commit to in college, it is something that bonds us together for the rest of our lives. I hope that you decide to go through Recruitment this Fall so that we can give you a taste of what our sisterhood is really like. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Love In Our Bond,
