Letter From Recruitment Chair

Dear Potential New Members,

On behalf of Phi Mu at Georgia Tech, I am so excited to welcome you to the Georgia Tech and Panhellenic community! College is such a transformative period in your life when you step out of your comfort zone and step into who you are truly meant to be. Making the choice to go through Formal Recruitment is a decision that is simultaneously intimidating and exciting. I can assure you that with time comes comfort, and the memories you have ahead of you are some that will last a lifetime. Since the Fall of 2020 when I decided to join Phi Mu, I have grown in ways that I could not have imagined prior to college. I’m from a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, so coming to Atlanta was an adjustment, to say the least. With the support of my Phi Mu sisters, I was able to transition seamlessly into college life and found a new home on Georgia Tech’s campus. Growing up, I never imagined myself joining Greek Life, but here I am two years later serving on Phi Mu’s executive committee and recruiting new members. By surrounding me with women who push me to be my best self each and every day, Phi Mu has allowed me to grow in ways I never would have imagined. The women of Phi Mu Theta Zeta are inspiring, driven, kind, and everything I aspire to be; I can confidently say that if not for Phi Mu, I wouldn’t be who I am today. At 240 Ferst Drive, we celebrate diversity and embrace one another’s individualism, which allows each of us to grow both inwardly and outwardly. Phi Mu is a lifetime commitment, and I am so fortunate to say I have found sisters who will be with me through it all. I encourage you to go through Recruitment this Fall so we can give you a taste of what our sisterhood is really like. We are looking forward to meeting you!
